Types of ghosts:
Apparitions - A person’s personality and soul that survives bodily death. Interactive spirits, may respond to questions. Appear to see you.
Poltergeist - Movement of objects, appearance or disappearance of objects, unusual activity of electrical devices. Possibly linked to the subconscious mind. May involve psychokinesis.
Haunting - Residual, recorded into the environment. It does not interact with people, usually connected to a location or object. Can include sounds, smells, or an activity being done over and over as if stuck in a loop.
Other Definitions:
Open-minded skeptic - Someone who does not jump to conclusions, but looks at all possibilities for an explanation and wants to see evidence before forming an opinion.
Debunker - Someone who, while seeking the truth behind all supposed paranormal activity, tries to find a rational normal explanation for the activity.
Paranormal - Activity that appears to be both unusual and outside the normal realm of rational explanation.
E.V.P. - Electronic Voice Phenomena. Disembodied voices that are heard upon playback of audio recordings.
