Infrared Cameras

We have a set of four IR cameras. They are used for video recording in the dark. They are stationary and record to a digital video recorder (DVR) set up in the control center during an investigation. They can be monitored live by a group member.

Temperature Gauge

We have several temperature gauge models that can read the ambient temperature (the temp. of the air in the room) and surface temperature (the temp. of the surface of an object in the room). These can be used to locate cold or warm spots. The belief is that spirits can affect the air temperature by drawing on energy from the air or from objects.

Motion Detector

We use a motion detector in areas that aren’t monitored by cameras to signal us to investigate any unseen activity.

Audio

We have several different types of audio recorders. Several are placed around the area to record one spot for the whole investigation. Others are used by the group members to conduct EVP sessions. EVP stands for Electronic Voice Phenomena. Sometimes when listening to a recording there are voices that weren’t audible during the actual recording. Some believe this is a way spirits can communicate with us.

Other Equipment

There are also a variety of handheld video cameras along with digital photo cameras used by the members. We also have EMF detectors which detect electro-magnetic fields. We use these to debunk some activity as high EMF readings can cause certain symptoms. There is also a K2 meter which is another type of EMF detector. It uses lights to indicate certain levels but it has supposedly been used to help communicate with spirits by other paranormal groups. The jury is still out on this piece of equipment for our group. We are always on the look out for new equipment to add to our arsenal. We keep and use what we feel accurately documents activity. Our belief is based on the evidence. We strive to rule out any and all natural possibilities.
